OUR STORY
Sturgeon Construction & Restoration LLC (SCR) is a boutique, family-owned construction firm with over 20 years of operational experience. We have the ability to lead and partner with our clients to produce high quality residential repairs, renovations and historically accurate restorations. Our capacity to oversee every facet of the design-to-build process effectively under strict time constraints make us a valuable asset to the home owner, developer, or architect. Our business is built upon the foundation of our singular dedication to customer service, fueled by our strong work ethic, integrity and superior craftsmanship.
Our smaller size means having greater control and continuity during the life of every project. Because we accept a limited number of clients, each customer receives our undivided attention from start to finish. Our streamlined approach greatly reduces the costly mistakes and missteps that are inherent in larger companies with multiple layers of bureaucracy.
MEET THE TEAM
Derck Sturgeon
Owner and Principal
Derck Sturgeon is the owner of Sturgeon Construction & Restoration LLC. Derck grew up in Glens Falls, New York in the Adirondack region and drew inspiration from the rural area he was raised in. He began his construction career in upstate New York and has experience renovating properties throughout New England. With over twenty years of construction experience, Derck's broad depth of knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, creative approach to design, and meticulous focus on detail allows his company to work on a wide scope of projects from basic repairs to full home renovations. Derck has followed an entrepreneurial track since completing his graduate studies in Boston, Massachusetts. He successfully launched two companies, which he has run for over 30 years and has built strong, trustworthy relationships with his clients. Derck obtained a bachelor of science degree in Exercise Science from Ithaca College and a master’s of science degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Northeastern University. Derck has lived in Massachusetts for over 25 years, since completing his graduate studies. He enjoys spending time with his family & dog and enjoys staying active by running, skiing and hiking. His love of music inspires his novice pursuit of playing the guitar & piano with his daughter.

Kimberly Sturgeon
Project Coordinator
Kim Sturgeon is the Project Coordinator for Sturgeon Construction & Restoration LLC. She grew up in central Massachusetts and settled with her family in Natick. She is responsible for oversight of operational aspects of the business including client service, scheduling, financial analysis and marketing. Kim also participates in site visits to meet with homeowners, vendors, architects, subcontractors and facilitates streamlined communication with all parties. Kim’s background in the investment industry, where she spent over 20 years creating marketing content, crafting business proposals and analyzing financial data, enables her to bring a multi-faceted skillset to oversee the firm’s operational process. She has worked closely with clients delivering exceptional customer service throughout her career. Kim obtained a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in Finance and International Business from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a master’s of arts degree in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Kim’s free time is spent pursuing photography, writing and enjoying the outdoors with her family.
